Beauty on the Bulkhead!

When I started custom designing nautical chart wallpaper ages ago, I thought one of best clients would be sailors, skippers, captains, and able-bodied seamen who would LOVE to have nautical chart wallpaper on board.

Well, I was wrong! Lots of sea-going people HAVE ordered murals, but to date only two have ordered it to be hung ON their boat.

Breathtaking on the outside . . . and on the INSIDE!

So when Raul Romo contacted me about his on board wallpaper installation, I was ecstatic!

First of all, Raul is a sailor and has a very substantial sloop!

The Approaches to Nantucket Sound look, well, very approachable!

Raul told me that he had two favorite cruising areas. One was the Cape Cod area including the Approaches to Nantucket Sound, the other was the Caribbean , from Puerto Rico in a gentle curve southward through the Caribbean to Trinidad and Venezuela...

Raul completed the ambiance with nautical pillows, and other decor.

What a great way to make you and your guests “welcome aboard."

What makes this mural even more practical is that it has a vinyl surface, but a matte finish, so it is not shiny. But with the humidity on the East Coast, you want a product that will go on easy, and with a tight seal, keep water from getting behind the mural and loosening it.

Love the sea? You don’t have to have a beautiful sailboat like Raul’s; just a nice wall or two in your home or office! Let us help! Call or text your request to: (801) 989-8083.

"Skipper" Steve Morris has been sailing for more than 45 years. Whenever Skipper's sailor friends used to talk about their sailing adventures, it was not unusual for them to grab a chart, unroll it to a certain island or waterway, and tell a story of what happened during a particular voyage. As Skipper realized that nautical charts are used for navigating stories as well as passageways, the idea of nautical chart murals came naturally. What better place to tell a tale of the sea than in one's own home or office than with a beautiful nautical chart mural as the visual aid!

In 2013, he moved to the Coeur d'Alene area of Northern Idaho with his wife Linda. When Skipper is not working on murals, you can find him sailing his Erickson 27' on Lake Coeur d’Alene.

He continues to design custom-made wallpaper from nautical charts, satellite photos, topographical maps and favorite photos.
